If you read our review the other day on Superman
Returns (here) you can tell that there was a lot of information that we just couldn't say. But hey, rules are rules when working with the studios.
Though we choose to abide by most rules, fans that were able to screen Superman Returns early have no such reservations.
Superman Returns is Sweet?
Probably the most positive review we have yet to encounter for the film, AICN has received a detailed report on Superman Returns from 'Derek'. Now don't think that this guy is easy to please, as his last two reports on other films were not only negative but mean.
I saw SUPERMAN RETURNS last night with mild expectations.
I guess they were low because the trailer didnt show me all that much in terms of plot and i was afraid that the movie was going to be an overly-kid-friendly retread that was lacking edge. To say i was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement.
To say Bryan Singer hit a home run would also be an understatement. He knocked the friggin' ball outta the park like Redford at the end of The Natural. Lights exploding and shit.
SUPERMAN RETURNS is a hands-down excellent superhero movie much the way Spiderman is. This aint no HULK / FANTASTIC 4 / X3 situation where some people loved it while others hated, If you dont know me, im no plant, i destroyed PATHFINDER and POSEIDON last month.
