Natalie Portman, Eric Bana for The Other Boleyn Girl
According to Variety, Sony has picked up Natalie Portman and Eric Bana to star in The Other Boleyn Girl.
Based on Philippa Gregory's historical novel, The Other Boleyn Girl tells the story of two ferociously ambitious sisters, Mary and Anne Boleyn, who were rivals for the bed and heart of the Tudor King Henry VIII.
Having grown up with three sisters I can understand how easily these rivalries grow.
Justin Chadwick is directing the pic with Scott Rudin Prods. producing.

The film was originally developed by the U.K.-based Owen and BBC Films, which optioned the book and made a telefilm based on it. Rudin, who worked with the BBC on Iris, became involved last summer, ultimately bringing the pic to Sony.
Portman has recently finished shooting Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium and is already scheduled to begin filming My Blueberry Nights this summer.
Bana is also set to film another project (with Warner Bros) titled Lucky You.
Shooting for The Other Boleyn Girl will begin this fall.
