And, what I found to be a bit of a shocker, Keith Richards may not necessarily play a father to anyone.
Richards On Pirates 3
On, off, on, off. So has been the history of Keith Richards around the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Since it is said that Johnny Depp's half-drugged, half-bi character, Jack Sparrow, was created with Richards in mind, fans (like myself) had assumed the rock star would play Sparrow's father once word broke that Disney was eyeing him for a role.
According to a report over at IESB, however, Richards is still getting ready to appear in Pirates 3, but the father door is still wide open.

Jerry Bruckheimer, action movie guru producer, said this about Keith Richards, "I think we worked out some dates, as long as he doesn't fall out of any more trees..."
So, for now, Keith Richards seems to be back on the project. Let's see how long it takes before he is off again.
