Wolverine
Now that X-Men: The Last Stand is closing out its run in theatres, Fox and folks such as Simon Kinberg have turned their attention to the upcoming Wolverine spinoff. Kinberg has begun to drop details on the film here and there but the latest announcement by Fox is a whopper.
Wolverine in 2007
According to THR, Fox plans to have Wolverine out in theatres by -- get ready for it -- 2007.
The promise of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine headlining a spinoff of 20th Century Fox's "X-Men" franchise next year was a highlight of Day 2 here at Cine Expo.
20th Century Fox promised the gathered exhibitors a Jackman starrer titled "Wolverine" for next year and Jackman himself sent the show a taped promise to back up the news.
Like X3, it looks as if Fox is willing to rush this project as well. Unless of course they plan to have very minimal effects shots in the film.
Update: THR has put out a correction that pretty much concludes that the 2007 release is not set in stone. In response to that I say, "Good, take your time."
Wolverine will come to theatres some time in 2007.
