Zoom Poster
Though I have already said this before, if it wasn't for Tim Allen's role in Galaxy Quest I would be a lot more critical of the upcoming superhero comedy Zoom.
I saw Superman Returns tonight and before the trailers kicked on Sony offered a special preview for Zoom. After being impressed with above average special effects, I immediately began to wonder why the hell we have not received a link to that video yet. Well, now back at home in good ol' Newport Beach, I have received a link not to that exact video but something a little better.
Zoom Movie Trailer
Zoom is based on the graphic novel Zoom's Academy for the Super Gifted from Jason Lethcoe. Tim Allen plays an out-of-shape former superhero who has lost his powers and is reluctantly called back into action to turn a ragtag group of kids into a new generation of superheroes to save the world from destruction. The film revolves around an unpopular high school girl who is whisked away by her mysterious father to a school for superheroes, where she discovers her talents.
It turns out that Hollywood.Com has recently posted the first, medium-resolution trailer for the film.
How does it look? Well, Zoom looks pretty entertaining in a Galaxy Quest sort of way; which is fine by me.
I am hoping that Sony is also planning to release the trailer in a higher resolution over at Quicktime or maybe even Yahoo! Movies. Hell, why not some direct feeds?
Zoom comes to theatres on August 11th.
