I guess that countdown to July 4th on the official site for Transformers was meaningless. Though it was first said that the clock was counting down to the announcement trailer for the film it seems to have been sped up or turned off with the trailer arriving today.
Don't you dare think I am complaining though!
Transformers Teaser Trailer
The official site for Transformers has recently posted the teaser trailer for the film in flash format and, due to the high demand, it might take you a while to actually get.
To be honest, I am actually still waiting for the trailer to finish up as I am writing this. Through the magic of the internet you would have never realized this. Kind of like writing a note to your girlfriend from class and pointing out that you have to take a break for a moment to listen to your teacher. What's the point of doing that? She has no idea that you ever stopped writing!
Dang, I have to go to the bathroom, be right back.
(five minutes pass)
See, how stupid was that? Argh! The trailer is still only halfway done. Wait! Wait!... (two minutes pass) ... now it is done.
Transformers: The Movie
The teaser trailer for Transformers reminds us of the meaning of 'teaser' as it shows only a silhouette of an actual Transformer. So what's to like? Just about everything. The text is good, the Transformers font looks sweet, the idea of a 'warning' is too cool, and, like all Bay films, the budget looks out of this world.
But don't take it from me, check out the Transformers trailer yourself over at the official site.
If you think this is cool, just imagine how the next trailer is going to look.
Final thought on early release: The trailer was getting leaked all over the web and had begun to appear over at YouTube. I wonder if this was a reason for Dreamworks' move to release the trailer today.
