Depp gives his interviews in full pirate garb, so that gives you a time capsule of Depp’s current popularity, reflecting on one of his more obscure projects. He’s open, honest, reflexive, revealing and seems to remember everything.
Juliette Lewis, Mary Steenburgen and the filmmakers also share a lot. Though it’s all EPK style, it’s a little deeper than the usual love fest. Perhaps because it’s as special a movie to its creators as it is to those fans who discovered it, the memories are more significant.
DiCaprio does not give a new interview but just seeing Darlene Cates today is worth buying a new DVD even if you already own the movie only release.
