Clerks II
Though Kevin Smith and Jay Mewes loved bashing online communities, and the users, in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, it looks like Clerks II is ready to turn over a new leaf. Teaming up with MySpace, Smith is allowing fans to get their names into the film's credits.
Clerks II Promo- Your Name in the Credits
According to Variety, Kevin Smith has teamed up with MySpace to offer an unusual promo. The first 10,000 people adding one of the movie's MySpace.com pages to their friends list will get a credit on the Weinstein Co. film and DVD.
Yes, all of the 10,000 names will be shown during the credits.
How will they fit so many names? Well, according to TWC, the names will appear horizontally and begin scrolling after the credits.
Want to see your name appear like an explosion of lights announcing Dirk Diggler? Then alll you have to do is log into your MySpace account at 5PM ET and look for the MySpace page "Mooby's Presents: Clerks II." It is still unknown if you will have to search for the page, just type "/clerksii", or if MySpace will have a link on their home page.
"We cannot think of a better way to get Kevin's longstanding fan base excited about this sequel," TWC co-chair Harvey Weinstein said in a statement.
