Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest- Johnny Depp
The first time Johnny Depp showed up with his gold teeth for Pirates of the Caribbean, it was the talk of the media, not to mention the worried studio executives. It turns out, teeth have been a recurring issue in all of Depp’s life.

“I've had many problems over the years,” he said. “Several root canals. Once they found an eight millimeter tip of a drill bit in one of the canals. That was horrible. That was a six hour ordeal.”
By comparison, the inserts for Captain Jack Sparrow are a dream. “What they do is some sort of like, I don't know if it's a filing or not. They do something to make the surface of the tooth kind of rough like a normal bonding sort of thing and then they hot glue and laser these things on. They bond these things onto my own choppers and the process of taking them off can be ugly. Sometimes it just comes off, shoots off and other times you have to really address the issue more intensely. I don't really notice them anymore. I'm kind of used to them now.”
With one more Pirates movie still to go, Depp is still chowing down with gold chompers. “Only until once we've finished filming three and then I'll have to go
through that process of yanking them."
