Annapolis Annapolis
Annapolis is still the worst movie of the year, and we’ve been through the whole pre-summer season so it’s looking to retain that title. With no resemblance whatsoever to the real Annapolis and a ridiculous story where even the actors can’t believe how clichéd their actions are, could the DVD help the filmmakers explain themselves?

Annapolis DVD Review

No. The extra features are just standard EPK love fests. The general “making of” doesn’t even mention the real Annapolis. It’s all about how great everyone is, what the story means and all that stuff. Maybe seeing James Franco sweating in training is worth something to the ladies.

Their technical advisor says he’s a Navy grad and that some of the terminology bandied about is authentic. Too bad he didn’t say anything about Herndon or the fact that there is no boatyard across the Severn River.

Deleted scenes have more flag waving speeches that don’t sound remotely authentic. “Character” scenes only pile on more clichés, like how the by the books A-hole has a personal fear that shows he’s only overcompensating. Fine stuff, for sure.

Stay tuned for updates.
