ThinkFilm is looking to get another film out for summer and has acquired the North American rights to 10th and Wolf to do so.
ThinkFilm Brings 10th and North
According to Variety, ThinkFilm has acquired all North American rights to writer-helmer Bobby Moresco's 10th and Wolf and has already planned a release for Aug. 18.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes James Marsden, Giovanni Ribisi, Brad Renfro, Piper Perabo, Brian Dennehy, Lesley Ann Warren, Dennis Hopper and Val Kilmer.
Marsden plays a man who thought he'd left behind his family's ties to organized crime only to face his past demons when he returns home to Philadelphia.
We can almost consider this film a follow-up to Donnie Brasco starring Johnny Depp and Al Pacino. 10th and Wolf, based on the real life FBI agent Joseph D. Pistone, tells us what happened to the character after his undercover job was complete.
Being a fan of James Marsden I can only say that it will be interesting to see him in this type of role.
