The audio commentary is fun. The Crypt Keeper manages to mix actual info with inside jokes and bad puns. He’s also got two Crypt historians with him who wrote the episode “What’s Cookin’” to fill in some of the “making of…” It gets old, of course, but at least they kept it consistent. There are a few gaps, surprising since they only had 28 minutes to talk through, but it shows that you can do DVD commentaries in character.
The Season Four overview from the Crypt Keeper is more of the same jokes. He recaps all the guest stars and some of the plots. For some reason, he doesn’t mention Joe Pesci. Maybe they couldn’t get the rights to show his clips outside of the actual episode he did.
