Will Tom Hanks returns, or a no-namer?
I don't know what the heck this means but... Toy
Story 3 is a go, but without the active involvement of Pixar. WHAT!
Toy Story Sequel a Go
If you remember, Pixar's contract with Disney was up in 2004. While Pixar
showed motive to leave Disney behind, there were discussions that would
have Pixar still cranking out Disney/Pixar films. But was their a road block?
Well, some believe that the major roadblock was Michael Eisner, and it was
predicted that Pixar would return when/if Eisner leaves in 2005. Is this
happening? Well, not exactly.
The first sign of bad news is the fact that Disney is over-stepping Pixar
to create the next Toy Story sequel. With a new screenplay from
rookie writer Jared Stern, the story is suppose to be dynamite [in Disney's
opinion?]. Well, it was good enough to cause Disney to say 'forget Pixar,
lets crank this film out'.
"Yay! There is a new Toy Story coming out!" Well, this is what I would have
said if Pixar was directly behind the film. Instead, we have Disney, who
has a horrid track record of creating horrible sequels for wonderful animated
films. Are there any Disney animated sequels that were not straight to video?
Well, this may also be the case for Toy Story 3 as well. If the film title
comes out something like Toy Story: Slinky Dog's Fun Adventures,
get ready to run for the hills.
