Ben Stiller spends a Night at the Museum.
20th Century Fox has finally released the teaser trailer of Night at the Museum as seen before Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest this weekend. The only thing I don't get is the fact that it only comes in low resolution or super-super high resolution; no middle ground?
Night at the Museum Teaser Trailer
Good-hearted dreamer Larry Daley (Ben Stiller), despite being perpetually down on his luck, thinks he's destined for something big. But even he could never have imagined how "big," when he accepts what appears to be a menial job as a graveyard-shift night watchman at a museum of natural history. But during Larry's watch, something extraordinary happens: the museum's exhibits magically come to life.
This has to be one of the few times where a domestic trailer is way better than the international version; it is usually the other way around. Not only is the domestic teaser trailer for Night at the Museum way longer, but it cuts straight to the film and gives us tons of museum antics.
Another aspect that I dug about the trailer is that it didn't stop to concentrate on Robin Williams' character and, instead, only gave him a small blip. I think there are some who may be growing tired of Williams.
I guess we should have also counted on a cameo from Stiller's BFF Owen Wilson.
We posted the direct feeds to the trailer over at the film's movie page. A word of caution: the large format takes FOREVER to download.
Night at the Museum opens to theatres on December 22nd.
