Deadwood star Ian McShane continues to pick up film roles in preparation for the series suspected end. Back in April he joined the cast of Warner Bros We Are Marshall and now he has hopped on board with Paramount.
McShane for Case 39
According to Variety, Paramount Pictures has picked up Ian McShane to join Rene Zellweger on the cast of Case 39.
German helmer Christian Alvart is directing.
Penned by Ray Wright, story centers on a social worker (Zellweger) who saves an abused girl from her parents but later discovers things are not as they seem. McShane plays the cop who helps Zellweger's character investigate the case.
Case 39 is just one of many new film projects for McShane. The actor will first film Hot Rod for Paramount, then switch over to Case 39. He next stars in Woody Allen's Scoop and is part of the voice casts of DreamWorks Animation's Kung Fu Panda and Shrek the Third.
It would be extra classic if one if his animated characters had a chance to yell, "Cock Sucker!"
Filming of Case 39 is expected to begin this summer in Vancouver.
