I can't help but have a crush on Lucy Liu. First off, the girl is Asian; an ethnicity that all my friends know I cherish. Second off, she is hot. Third, she has some classic roles including her latest go with Josh Hartnett in Lucky Number Slevin. The list can go on and on.
But where was I?
Liu, Murphy for Watching the Detectives
According to Variety, Cillian Murphy and Lucy Liu have teamed up to co-star in the indie film Watching the Detectives for Peach Arch Entertainment and Plum Pictures.
Paul Soter will direct from his own script. Though Detectives will be his directorial debut, Soter has had experience on comedies such as Super Troopers, Club Dread and the upcoming Beerfest. As you can tell, he is in close with Broken Lizard.
The romantic comedy is about a film noir buff whose world is turned upside down when a real-life femme fatale provides far more adventure than he ever experienced.
Both Liu and Murphy have a pretty decent slate of films coming our way. Lucy Liu can next be seen in 3 Needles, The Cleaner and Rise. Cillian Murphy has two films coming our way -- The Wind That Shakes the Barley and Sunshine.
Filming for Watching the Detectives starts this Monday.
