Earlier today I received a 'just in case you want to know' email from 'Tike' that Peter Cullen has recently confirmed that he would be the voice of Optimus Prime in the upcoming Transformers movie. When I first researched the news the only thing I discovered was that my truck is definitely not an Autobot; so, just in case you aren't getting it, I couldn't find anything to confirm the email.
Thanks to 'Ryan', however, we are now told that SHH has posted a confirmation.

Peter Cullen loves doing voices. Though he has made a career of late by voicing characters in the Winnie the Pooh films and television series, he may have hit the jackpot by drawing back on his experience for the animated film The Transformers: The Movie. What voice did he perform in the film you ask? How about Optimus Prime!
Dreamworks/Paramount first hinted way back in the beginning that they were looking at some of the original voice talent around the series and the animated film and it now looks like they are fulfilling their promise.
Peter Cullen has announced during the San Diego Comic Con that he will in fact be the voice of the lead Autobot.
In a move that I can only call ironic, Peter Cullen made the announcement over the phone and not in person -- voice actors!
