Besides sending over some cool new media updates, 'RonJon' alerted us that director Jon Favreau has confirmed that the villain in Iron Man will be Mandarin.
Jon Favreau Confirms Mandarin
Though the villain, Mandarin, has appeared against multiple Marvel superheroes during his heyday, his number one enemy was always Iron Man.
Mandarin is considered one of the greatest scientific geniuses in the Marvel universe. Thanks to his understanding of science, mostly alien, he was able to grant himself 'superhuman' abilities. That doesn't mean Mandarin is weak without his technology, as he is trained in martial arts and has the ability to destroy objects, including Iron Man's armor, with his bare hands.
Fighting alone, however, wouldn't make Mandarin a supervillain. The character wears ten rings that were once involved in powering an alien spaceship. The rings power is considered unlimited. Each ring has a special power that range from laser beams, ice blasts to flame throwers.
All in all, ten different ways to be the life of the party.
