Eva Longoria continues to pick up films but instead of being a spoiled diva -- like her upcoming role in Deep in the Heart of Texas -- she will play a loved ghost.
Longoria, Rudd, Bell for How I Met My Boyfriend's Dead Fiance
According to Variety, Gold Circle Films has picked up Eva Longoria, Paul Rudd and Lake Bell to star in the upcoming film project How I Met My Boyfriend's Dead Fiance.
The film, written and soon to be directed by Jeff Lowell, centers on a female psychic (Bell) who falls in love with a skeptic (Rudd) while the ghost of his dead fiance, played by Longoria, tries to keep them apart.
Dead Fiance will be Lowell's directorial debut.
The film's production schedule takes place during the same period of the ABC television series Desperate Housewives. Because of her prominent role on the show, Longoria will have to juggle her shoots. She got the go-ahead from the network to sign on for the film by agreeing to work weekends on the film and weekdays on Housewives.
Rudd is coming off Broadway's Three Days of Rain opposite Julia Roberts. You can see the actor in Judd Apatow's 40-Year-Old Virgin and the director's next project, Knocked Up.
Bell recently wrapped Pride and Glory for New Line Cinema.
