Universal Pictures has recently released a set
of new movie clips, TV spots and featurettes in anticipation of the release
of Miami
Vice this weekend.
Clips and Spots for Miami Vice
I wish Universal would have thought of this sooner. Moviegoers out there
are still unsure of what to think of this rehashed story and these latest
clips, featurettes and TV spots would have definitely given a better impression.
Better late than never I guess.
The clips mostly show off Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx working together
and taking their roles very serious. Actually, 'very serious' may be an
understatement.
Other than that the clips look very cool and very Michael Mann-ish.
The cocaine cowboys of the '80s are gone, but Miami's Casablanca allure,
the undercover cops and the attitudes of Michael Mann's culturally influential
television series have been enhanced by time in the feature film version
of Miami Vice.
