It looks like Storm stopped by for a nap.
In a recent article, I talked about the strangest
trailer I have ever seen in What Is
It?. Well, the trailer for the film MirrorMask
is now throwing up some competition.
Mirror Mask Movie Trailer
The only thing that makes this "Jim Henson Company" film look
better than What Is It? is the production value. You can tell that much
more has been applied to MirrorMask. However, the film [which uses
The Dark Crystal and Labrynth as its credits] still looks
pretty damn weird. The trailer does not say anything about the film, as
it spends all emphasis on displaying the strange cinematography.
So before you check out this trailer, here is a brief synopsis for MirrorMask:
MirrorMask is the story of Helena, a fifteen-year-old girl worlking for her
family circus, who wishes- quite ironically- that she could run away from the circus and join
real life. But such is not to be the case, as she finds herself on a strange journey into
the Dark Lands, a fantastic landscape filled with giants, Monkeybirds and dangerous sphinxes.
Helena searches for the Mirrormask, an object of enormous power that is her only hope of
escaping the Dark Lands, waking the Queen of Light and returning home.
