Will Ferrell is working to have a full curriculum before Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby has a chance to exit theatres. Last week he signed a deal to keep the Talladega team -- Ferrell, Reilly and Adam McKay -- together for Step Brothers (here) and now he is in negotiations to star in Semi-Pro.
McKay, Ferrell and Reilly Reteam for Step Brothers
According to Production Weekly, Will Ferrell is in negotiations to reunite with Old School, screenwriter Scot Armstrong, in the comedy Semi-Pro, set in the world of 1970's basketball. The film is eyeing a February production start, in Minneapolis.
To add a little more to Ferrell's to-do list, Armstrong is also writing sequels for both Elf and Old School.
Ferrell recently completed two other films -- Blades of Glory and Stranger Than Fiction -- so must be working to keep with his new work ethic.
