Mel Gibson is doing all he can to stay out of the news at the moment and I'd hate to break tradition by reporting on a rumor... but how can I resist?
Personally, I think Gibson should do as the Entourage crew does by going to Vegas and blowing loads of cash on the tables. Heck, why not get paid to judge a stripper contest while he is at it? Though it may not help his recent image, how can you not feel good in Vegas?

'Shannon', one of our regular scoopers who, as far as I can tell, is making a name for herself across the net, has recently sent over a little doozy of an email explaining the rushed possibility of another Lethal Weapon installment.

"Word has it that the sobriety-challenged Mel Gibson has jumped aboard the production of "Lethal Weapon 5," which the actor-turned-director had,
until recently (read: until the events of last week) not considered joining. But, since his Holocaust mini-series has been cancelled, Gibson's schedule
has cleared up -- and it wouldn't hurt on the PR front to give fans another "Lethal Weapon.""
The rumor seems to have sprung out of a discussion over at RottenTomatoes that resulted in a small mention from The Daily Telegraph. So many volatile sources, so little time.
