We can't get enough of the video journals for the upcoming adaptation of Frank Miller's 300. Though we had expected the 300 Comic Con footage to be the next clip to appear online, it turns out that Journal #7 has popped up out of nowhere.
Which is just as cool!
300 Video Journal #7
Like the video journals before it, this latest installment for 300 makes the film look insanely cool; almost too cool.
The seventh video journal for 300 sits us down with creator Frank Miller, director Zach Snyder and writer Kurt Johnstad as they all discuss what it takes to bring 300 to the bigscreen and make it uber-cool. While each person talks we are given tons of shots from the set and some finished scenes that all look great. I can't over emphasize how gnarly this film is going to be.
I love how they match the raining scene from the graphic novel perfectly to the film.
Frank Miller says it best, "There is no way to make 300 without it being amazing."
Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, 300 is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy. The film brings Miller's (Sin City) acclaimed graphic novel to life by combining live action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of this ancient historic tale.
