Will The Aviator, with Leonardo DiCaprio at the helm, take a
run across the Oscars?
I'm sure you have now been entertained with the
Razzie Nominations, but now it is time to get serious and show the best
of 2004 with the Academy Awards nominations.
Academy Awards Nominations List
Some of the biggest details to notice is that The Aviator has the
most nominations with 11, followed by Million Dollar Baby and Finding
Neverland [each holding 7]. One other thing that is also notable is
that Michael Moore's documentary, Fahrenheit 9/11, failed to receive
a single nomination. Michael Moore[the anti-capitalist who attempted to
capitalize on the success of his film] did this to himself as he pulled
Fahrenheit 9/11 from the documentary bracket [where it stood a
chance] and tried to get the film in the running for best picture [where
it had no chance].
On a happier note, comedian gone actor Jamie Foxx will have two opportunities
to receive an Academy Award; one for best actor in Ray and one
for best supporting actor in Collateral.
