Though fans are still anxiously awaiting the theatrical release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Warner Bros has decided to jump the gun and announced when we can expect Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as well.
Half-Blood Prince Hits Theatres on November 21, 2008
Warner Bros has announced that it will be late in 2008 when we can expect to see the aging (in the youngest sense) Harry Potter continue has battle against Lord Voldemort. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is due out July 2007 and, to keep the dates close, Warner Bros was just able to squeak Prince into 2008.
Fortunately for Warner Bros, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince should easily secure its position as top release for the lucrative Thanksgiving holiday.
The Potter sensation began back in 1997 when then-struggling author JK Rowling released Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone -- later changed to Sorcerer's Stone for domestic release. She has gone on to release five other books in the seven-installment series with the last book, currently untitled, predicted to be released on 7-7-07. Fitting date is it not?
JK Rowling is now the wealthiest woman in England.
If you have been paying attention to the rumors, then you probably already know that it is rumored that Harry will die in the final installment.
I promise (again): Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Movie Page up by the end of this week. Expect an announcement upon its completion.
