Demetri Martin
After spending years working as writer on shows such as Late Night with Conan O'Brien, comedian Demetri Martin may have caught his big movie break.
Demetri Martin for Moon People
Many of you may have seen Demetri's stand-up routine on Premium Blend or Comedy Central. Hell, the comedian even had a couple appearances on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, one of which we encounter Martin explaining the growing popularity of the Hookah.
Still don't know him? Well, you will, as the guy has also signed a massive deal with Microsoft with Martin being the new face of Windows Vista. And, if you miss him there, expect to see him in theatres after that.
According to Variety, Columbia Pictures has picked up Demetri Martin to write and star in Moon People. James Bobin will direct.
Moon People is the story of a group of people who return to assimilate on Earth years after they were sent to colonize the moon.
Martin recently sold his pitch Will to Dreamworks earlier this year.
James Bobin is writer and director of the HBO comedy series Da Ali G Show.
