Best of 2004 If it were up to the critics, what were the best films of 2004?
I know that January and February is the time for award shows with the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards. Well, Rottentomatoes has joined the frenzy by offering their own 'Best of 2004' awards.

Awards Based on the Tomato Meter

While most award shows are going to award the best movies of 2004, Rottentomatoes uses their tomato meter to choose the top 25 films for the year. If you have never been to rottentomatoes, the tomato meter is a score given to each film based off of the average scores reported in by film critics [the scores are then applied to a tomato curve]. Here are the top 5 films, based on the tomato meter, with scores:

1. 87.77 The Incredibles 96%
2. 85.83 Spider-Man 2 93%
3. 85.14 Hero 94%
4. 84.72 Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 92%
5. 82.68 Shrek 2 90%

Pretty interesting stuff, considering this hierarchy listed pretty much lines up with the reviews here at CanMag. Coinsidence? I think not!

For all the top 25, head over to Rottentomatoes.com.
