Doug Jones Talks Hellboy II, Fantastic Four Sequel
The good people over at iFMagazine recently caught up with Doug Jones and discussed all his current projects.
iF MAGAZINE: Now that HELLBOY 2 is official at Universal, what does that mean? DOUG JONES: Itís officially at Universal, and Iím told that theyíre aiming for filming to begin April 1st, 2007. With a release date, and I heard scuttlebutt, for the summer of 2008. HELLBOY opened in early April, so maybe theyíll aim for that time of year again.
iF: When does PAN open in the US? JONES: PANíS LABYRINTH opens in the U.S. on December 29th. Itís already playing in other parts of the world, being that it is a foreign film it will be playing in Spain and all of the Latin countries before it gets here. I was excited I got posters on this one. At San Diego Comic Con they were handing out posters, and one was of Pan and the other was of The Pale Man (who is just a haunting bad guy).
iF: Are you still waiting for word on the big Marvel Superhero project - FANTASTIC FOUR AND THE SILVER SURFER? JONES: As Iím standing at the store that sells lovely beautiful shimery silver colored outfits, Iím standing at the checkout, and my credit card is still in the approval process, but as a I look to my left and to my right I see that there are no other people waiting there. [Laughs] Itís just one of those things.
