Wilmer Valderrama has been a hit with me ever since
his appearance as Fez on That '70s Show. He has only become my
idol, however, a few months back when he rocked his sex confessions live
on Howard Stern. Hot damn does that guy have an impressive, uhh, resume.
It turns out that Wilmer Valderrama is looking for a film project that fits
his lifestyle and has only recently landed such a project over at Universal.
Wilmer Valderrama Hangs with PartyBuddys
According to Variety,
Wilmer Valderrama has set up a project over at Universal all about PartyBuddys,
a real-life Gotham nightclub guide service started by James King and Jason
Roefaro.
The PartyBuddys company ferries clients -- primarily out-of-town businessmen
willing to pay hefty fees -- around Manhattan hotspots and helps them get
past velvet ropes and into VIP rooms.
It sounds like a costly endeavor, considering that just about anybody can
purchase a 'table' at any major club or bar and have that get them right
through the lines and into 'VIP' status. Should have saw me at Tao in Vegas,
ladies galore in the VIP lounge; including Paris and Nicky Hilton.
In a New York Times profile of the service in January 2005, Roefaro said,
"This service is like paying to drive a race car or be taken up in a fighter
plane. They're not race-car drivers or fighter pilots, they're accountants
and lawyers, but for a short time they can imagine they are. For that night,
they're not an accountant; they're Paris Hilton or P. Diddy."
For a little extra spice, PartyBuddys will even hire people to pretend to
be paparazzi taking photos of you as you enter and exit clubs. Basically,
if you can't get any action that night you will never get any action.
So far Valderrama has only agreed to produce the film, but it is suggested
that he will use the film as a starring vehicle.
You can see Valderrama in the upcoming film Fast
Food Nation plus Paul Feig's Unaccompanied Minors.
