Eragon
Here is another brief weekend update for Eragon.
It turns out that the image we posted earlier comes in a better resolution
and the good people over at Shurtugal
got their hands on it.
But it gets better!
Close Up of Saphira
Shurtugal
recently got their hands on a high-resolution image of the book cover and
it shows off a better-looking Saphira. Not only does the dragon look darker
blue -- instead of grey -- you can check out details of the beast's face.
Wait, should I call it a beast?
Saphira looks good and even resembles the artwork on the front of the Eragon
book cover. Instead of having two long (what looks to be) antennas, the
animal now has two giant horns coming out of her head. Makes her look pretty
dangerous.
I can see why Fox decided to mellow out her the dragon's blue color. To
match the descriptions in the book exactly would most likely have made the
dragon look awkwardly bright; and, possibly, less realistic.
Update: My bad, it looks like the close-up has been taken off of what looks to be a new movie poster for the film; not the book cover image from earlier, though the same idea.
Eragon comes to theatres on December 15th.
