The cast of the upcoming comedy I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry continues to grow with Buscemi and Aykroyd jumping aboard.
Buscemi, Aykroyd for Chuck and Larry
According to Variety, Universal has picked up Steve Buscemi and Dan Aykroyd to star in the Adam Sandler-Kevin James comedy I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.
The Dennis Dugan-directed laffer, most recently scripted by Alexander Payne and Jim Taylor, is about two straight, single Philadelphia firefighters who pretend to be a gay couple to qualify for domestic partner benefits. Buscemi will play a city worker from financial services who's determined to expose the pair as cheats.
It is unknown what role Aykroyd will be playing.
Steve Buscemi has been keeping himself fairly busy. The actor will direct Interview, a remake starring him and Sienna Miller. He is also set to star in We're the Millers, a New Line Comedy from Steve Faber and Bob Fisher, the same scribes who brought us Wedding Crashers. You can also hear Buscemi in the upcoming adaptation of Charlotte's Web.
