Every time I hear casting news on Emily Mortimer I assume that the actress has finally been picked up for the next Harry Potter film installment. I don't know what it is -- probably her English look -- but every time I see an image of Mortimer I see every Potter character wrapped into one. Take a look to the right to see what I mean.
Mortimer has been cast for another role and, again, it is not for anything Potter. Instead, she will join up with Ryan Gosling to prove she is a Real Girl; which could, at times, be an uncomfortable venture.

According to Variety, Emily Mortimer will star opposite Ryan Gosling in Sidney Kimmel Entertainment's offbeat indie Lars and the Real Girl.
Craig Gillespie will direct with a script from scribe Nancy Oliver.
Story is about a lonely, delusional young man who buys a life-size sex doll on the Internet and falls in love with her, telling people it's his girlfriend. His brother and sister-in-law step in to help him with his delusion.
Mortimer was last seen in Match Point and The Pink Panther. The actress has recently set up a slew of new films including Chaos Theory (post-production), Barry Munday (pre-production) and Who Killed Norma Barnes?.
