Angela Bettis for Scar
According to Variety, Angela Bettis continues to have the look for horror films. The actress has been picked up to star in the psychological horror pic Scar.
Story follows a young woman who returns to her small hometown for her niece's high-school graduation. In town she is still remembered as the sole survivor of a serial killer's spree and as the person who managed to kill the murderer. Upon her arrival, the killings resume.
Jed Weintrob will direct the film based on a concept from Zack Ford and himself. Ford penned the final script.
Weintrob directed The F Word, starring Josh Hamilton.
Scar will be shot with high-definition 3-D technology as the first of a new crop of live-action, 3-D horror films to begin production.
