Way back in April Sony Screen Gems announced that they had picked up Sarah Jessica Parker to star in the suspense thriller Vacancy. Now, almost five months later, it would seem that Parker has been evicted. Don't worry, dry your eyes, we have been upgraded to the Beckinsale suite.
Kate Beckinsale for Vacancy
According to THR, Kate Beckinsale has stepped in to replace Sarah Jessica Parker in the Screen Gems horror thriller Vacancy.
Frank Whaley has been cast as the motel thriller's anti-hero. Set to be directed by Nimrod Antal (Kontroll) based on a script by Mark L. Smith, Vacancy will co-star Beckinsale and Luke Wilson as a couple who find videocams in their motel room, then realize they are being taped for a snuff film.
The project marks a return for Beckinsale to Screen Gems following her role as the vampire hottie in the Underworld films. She most recently was seen in the romantic comedy Click, opposite Adam Sandler.
