With a new title comes the first official trailer for Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker. Having seen two trailers before this latest go by Miramax, it is easy to say that this is the film's best representation yet. Well, that and some of the earlier, non-Alex Rider, posters.

As I mentioned when we displayed the new poster for Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker, The Weinstein Company is still confused on how to market this film. A cool spy movie with a young, teenie-bopper, kid. Should they aim for the older moviegoers with the film's cool factor or try to catch the high school audience? Decisions, decisions. Instead of choosing one market in particular, the new trailer for Stormbreaker jumps back and forth between cool and downright cheesy. How can I take a spy movie seriously when it is full of little-girl chuckles and childish kicks to the nuts?
Some early high school kids will likely get a kick out of this film, but so far I have been dreaming of both McGregor and Rourke returning to something a little more serious.
