Helen Hunt has picked up one hell of a trio for her directing debut, Then She Found Me.
Firth, Broderick, Midler for Then She Found Me
According to Variety, Colin Firth, Matthew Broderick and Bette Midler have joined Helen Hunt in Then She Found Me, a project that has taken Hunt eight years to adapt from the Elinor Lipman novel.
Hunt plays a schoolteacher found by her birth mother (Midler) during a tumultuous time in her life. Broderick is playing Hunt's husband, and Firth a man she meets through one of her students.
Alice Arlen wrote the first adaptation of Lipman's novel. Vic Levin and Hunt rewrote it and then Hunt did the final polish.
Helen Hunt can next be seen in Bobby. Matthew Broderick has a few films coming our way including Bee Movie, Deck the Halls and Margaret. Colin Firth, currently with the largest to-do list, has an entire slew of films in production including London, The Last Legion and The Meat Trade.
Production on Then She Found Me is getting under way in Brooklyn.
