Universal Pictures has recently picked up a package of high-profile voices for their upcoming CG pic The Tale of Despereaux.
Kline, Hoffman, Macy, Tucci, Weaver For The Tale of Despereaux
According to Variety, Universal Pictures has picked up Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Kline, William H. Macy, Stanley Tucci and Sigourney Weaver to lend their voices for the upcoming CG film The Tale of Despereaux.
Just when you thought the cast couldn't be fuller, the latest group will join Robbie Coltrane, Ciaran Hinds, Christopher Lloyd, Justin Long and Tracey Ullman.
The Tale of Despereaux is the adaptation of Kate DiCamillo's Newbery Medal-winning children's book about one small mouse's quest to change a kingdom forever.
The film will be directed by Mike Johnson.
Gary Ross adapted Despereaux into a screenplay with animation being handled by CFC; the same people responsible for Superman Returns.
The Tale of Despereaux will come to theatres some time during the 2008 holiday season.
