Buena Vista Pictures has released the first trailer
for the upcoming supernatural thriller The
Invisible.

A young man is attacked and left for dead. Upon
awaking he finds himself stuck between the living and the dead. He remains
with the living, but is invisible. In a race against time, the young man
must find his body before his time on Earth expires. The only problem is
that the only person who may be able to save the man is the same attacker.
Justin Chatwin -- think the idiot son from War of the Worlds
-- plays the lead character and, at least according to the trailer, does
one heck of a job playing the frustrated victim doing all he can to save
himself from what looks to be a guaranteed doom.
It would be pretty troubling to have to search for your own body when it
could be getting abused at any particular moment. Your body is hidden in
the woods? By the time the animals have had their way who knows if you'd
really want it back.
The only issue I have with The Invisible
is that it borders dangerously close to being a teenie-bopper. I like how
they make it a point to show that the film comes from the minds of those
who brought us Sixth Sense and Batman Begins,
but the whole high school atmosphere could be this film's downfall.

The Invisible opens to a limited release on January
26, 2007.
