Brittany Murphy
It is always nice to have an update on Brittany
Murphy. Though it might just come down to the fact that we get to put up
a hottie picture when the update is on her, the actress does also deliver
some interesting roles. And now that she is hanging with Disney until 2007,
it looks like the actress is seeking out some more audience-friendly roles.
Murphy, Toshiyuki for The Ramen Girl
According to Variety,
Brittany Murphy and Japanese thesp Toshiyuki Nishida have jumped aboard
the upcoming romantic comedy The Ramen Girl.
Just as the title would suggest, The Ramen Girl revolves
around an American woman stranded in Tokyo after calling it quits with her
boyfriend. She decides to train under the temperamental ramen master at
the neighborhood noodle shop she frequents.
Robert Allan Ackerman is directing from a script by Becca Topol.
The film began filming earlier this month in Japan,
where Digital Site will distrib. Media 8 retains all remaining worldwide
rights.
Besides having the starring role, Brittany Murphy will also produce alongside
Ackerman, Stewart Hall and Yoko Narahashi.
