Standout funny deletions include the War of the Worlds auto fix working on a horse as well, the iPod earplugs unleashing their wrath, Tom Ryan messing with the enthralled masses, fun with romantic parting clichés, snow globes adapted to the invasion, president Leslie Nielsen destroying national treasures and hidden modern appliances in The Village.
All of these gags demonstrate mastery of the source material and expert ridicule of their archetypes. And they’re silly.
One extra feature that unfortunately falls flat is “An Interviewer’s Worst Nightmare.” These are EPK bloopers and it’s lame. Who cares what went wrong when shooting the generic fluff piece.
