The Wild DVD Review

The Wild may have been a ripoff of Madagascar, or the too little too late originator. It’s so hard to tell between Dreamworks and Disney. But like it or not, there is one thing it’s good for: HDTV demo. Animated movies always look great blown up on HDTVs, especially CGI ones

Lighting on the animal skin, whether it’s rhino scales or fur, reflects the perfect glow. You could read a book to the light if you’re bored by the movie. Fur detail is fine and all of the characters are sharp against equally sharp and detailed backgrounds.

Colors are good too. Dark nighttime scenes maintain a subtle range without getting muddy, and daylight scenes glow with all the vibrance the jungle should.

Stay tuned for updates.
