With all the money that the second installment of Pirates of Caribbean is raking in it was only a matter of time before Disney execs starting looking to other theme park rides for feature film adaptation. Which made the cut? No, not Thunder Mountain, but the more festive and humorous Jungle Cruise.
Disney Adapts Jungle Cruise Ride to Movie
According to THR/Reuters, with record-breaking ticket sales for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Walt Disney Pictures has given high-priority status to another franchise based off of a Disney ride -- Jungle Cruise.
The executive producers of Smallville, Al Gough and Miiles Millar, are already in talks to write the script.
What could the story for Jungle Cruise possibly be about? Well, hard to say, but expect wild animals, lots of water, a boat, gorillas playing around, headhunters and a humorous skipper. Just a guess.
