With filming ready to begin for Rush Hour 3, New Line has recently filled in the cast with three new additions.
Max von Sydow, Noemie Lenoir and Hiroyuki Sanada For Rush Hour 3
According to Variety,
New Line has picked up Max von Sydow, Noemie Lenoir and Hiroyuki Sanada to join Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan in Rush Hour 3.
The four-month shoot is set to start Sunday in Paris, where Tucker's and Chan's characters will battle a wing of a Chinese organized crime family. In a rare appearance in a comedy, von Sydow will portray the head of the World Criminal Court, while French actress Lenoir will be the love interest for Tucker's character.
Returning director Brett Ratner -- who recently helmed X-Men: The Last Stand -- will direct Rush Hour 3 with a script by scribe Jeff Nathanson.
Though Chris Tucker was originally hesitant on doing another Rush Hour installment, the previous two films box office numbers -- a combined total of nearly $600 million -- were just too good to pass up.
New Line is hoping for an August 10th release date. Jackie Chan will handle distribution of the film in Hong Kong and China.
