I have been a big fan of Jim Caviezel ever since he went to war in The Thin Red Line. Actually, I liked him before that when he was only training to become a soldier in GI Jane. Heck, I even liked him with the homoerotic goatee in The Count of Monte Cristo. With a slew of films now under his belt, Caviezel is in talks with the Weinsteins to add another and this time it will be sci-fi.
Caviezel in Talks For Outlander
According to Variety,
James Caviezel is in talks to star in The Weinstein Co's sci-fi film Outlander.
If the talks go well, Caviezel will join Jack Huston and Sophia Miles.
The sci-fi adventure tells the story of a spaceship that crashes to Earth during the Viking times. I don't know how this works, but it sounds suspiciously like a mix between Planet of the Apes and Pathfinder.
Howard McCain will direct on a script written by himself and Dirk Blackman.
Caviezel can next be seen as a terrorist in Deja Vu.
Filming on Outlander is expected to begin next month in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
