After slowly picking up Russell Crowe and Christian Bale, Lionsgate has picked up the pace by selecting a trio of actors to join 3:10 to Yuma and round out the cast.
Fonda, Mol, Roberts For 3:10 to Yuma
According to Variety,
Lionsgate has picked up Peter Fonda, Gretchen Mol and Dallas Roberts to join the cast of 3:10 to Yuma.
James Mangold will direct.
3:10 to Yuma tells the story of a desperado who is caught by a sheriff determined to bring the outlaw in. Sheriff's plans go awry when the desperado's accomplices stage an ambush.
The project was originally set at Sony but recently changed hands to Lionsgate with a reduced budget.
Besides Fonda, Mol and Roberts, Ben Foster and Vinessa Shaw have also joined the cast. Foster was last seen as Angel in X-Men 3: The Last Stand and, when the studios finally figure their shit out, will hopefully be seen shortly in Alpha Dog.
Mol recently starred in The Notorious Bettie Page. Roberts can next be seen in Flicka. Fonda, with the biggest film of the three, will appear with Nicolas Cage in Sony's Ghost Rider.
Production on 3:10 to Yuma is expected to begin October 23rd in New Mexico. The film has a production budget of $50 million.
