I didn't know whether to call this a 'casting update' or a 'movie rumor', but there is a large possibility that 20th Century Fox has found their lead villain for the upcoming Die Hard installment.
Jeffrey Wright for Live Free or Die Hard
Jeffrey Wright has really picked up his game on getting selected for bigger-budget films. The actor recently appeared in Syriana and followed that up with Broken Flowers, Lady in the Water and the upcoming film Casino Royale. But it doesn't look like he is stopping there.
According to JewReview, Jeffrey Wright may have been selected as lead villain for Live Free or Die Hard.
Jeffrey Wright (Syriana, Angels in America) is going to be that one guy making John McClane’s life a living hell? And it would only make sense, as production moves from Baltimore to Wright’s hometown of Washington DC.
Right now, all we know is he’ll be the head of an agency; McClane will then be leading the team to stop him. A call back from Wright’s people hasn’t been returned to confirm any extra plot details.
Correct or not, Jeffrey Wright would be a perfect addition to this film. Expect a confirmation shortly.
