James Cromwell, who plays Prince Phillip in the film The Queen, couldn’t say much about his upcoming role on TV’s 24, because they haven’t told him yet either. He does know a bit more about his character than just that that he is Jack Bauer’s dad though.

“He’s an industrialist who runs a multinational corporation and there’s been a f*ck up,” said Cromwell. “And he’s responsible and he’s trying to shape it the way most people in multinational corporations do to save his own ass and ass of his family and Jack catches him.”
Cromwell also plays a role in the equally secretive Spider-Man 3. Count on him to ground that film’s fanciful special effects in reality. “When you’re in front of the camera and you’re doing the scene, you’ve still got to show up. You still have to motivate the words. You still have to be believable no matter what the circumstances. If a guy is flying on an invisible web, you still have to respond in some way that somebody can recognize, otherwise the film goes in the toilet. That’s your responsibility as an actor.”
