Cross promotions can be huge for films and with Transformers having brand name vehicles that become characters on screen it was a no-brainer that the car companies would jump aboard.
GM Video, Warm-Up for Transformers?
Two such cars-slash-characters you expect to see in the film will be a Chevrolet Camara (Bumblebee) and a GMC Top Kick C4500 (Ironhide). With two big characters straight from GM, the car company is expected to have a big cross promotion with Transformers as the film gets closer to its theatrical release date.
As some of you may have guessed, we should come to expect tons of GM commercials with either transforming vehicles or possibly a shot of their vehicle in the film.
The good people over at SHH have recently discovered a new video over at the Chevrolet site for the upcoming 2007 Silverado. The video looks like a trial run at the transforming vehicles campaign that GM is expected to enter. Instead of converting the Silverado into a robot, however, the video transforms past models into the latest version.
Just head on over to the Chevrolet site and don't touch a thing. The video is the first thing that loads.
