300: Comic to Film

For those of you who have been living under a rock, the upcoming adaptation of Frank Miller's 300 will pull off something similar to Robert Rodriguez's adaptation of Frank Miller's Sin City; very stylized and surreal settings. Almost as if we were still reading from the original graphic novels that these films were adapted from. To do this, each director -- first Rodriguez and now Zach Snyder -- need the cinematography and the scenes to look as close as possible to the actual images, storyboards, from the comics.

With only a leaked promo trailer for the film, one site has already found direct comparisons between comic and film.

300 Comic to Movie Comparison

The good people over at SolaceinCinema have posted their very own comic to film comparison for 300 based entirely off the low-res promo trailer.

OK my interest in the film 300 is bordering on obsession. I thought it might be interesting to see how closely Zack Snyder is sticking to the original comic books. Pretty damn closely it appears.
